Cardiology/Medical Management
Mathew Maurer, MD, a researcher and cardiologist who provides medical management, and comprehensive treatment plans for adults with HCM.
Farhana Latif, MD, a heart failure/transplant cardiologist at The HCM Center.
Donna Mancini, MD, an internationally recognized expert in heart failure, exercise physiology and cardiac transplantation.
Melana Yuzefpolskaya, MD is a cardiologist specializing in medical management of adults with HCM at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Electrophysiology
Frederick Ehlert, MD, Director of the Electrophysiology Fellowship at Columbia, and an expert in managing arrhythmia and device therapy in patients with HC.
Kathleen Hickey, RN, EdD, a specialist in electrophysiology, cardiogenetics and the prevention of sudden death.
Jonathan Lu, MD, PhD, an electrophysiologist who implants pacemakers and defibrillators both to prevent, and to treat, arrhythmias caused by HCM.
Cardiac Surgery
A group of renowned cardiac surgeons and transplant cardiologists at NewYork-Presbyterian who run the premier heart transplantation program in the world and are able to treat end stage HCM patients.
Hiroo Takayama, MD, PhD, a cardiac surgeon who performs a complex procedure called a myectomy, removing the overgrown heart muscle to restore blood flow.
